Summary
The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities with both new and existing customers within their assigned territory. Using a variety of company tools and programs, they will develop strategies to expand account volume, improve customer retention, and increase overall territory performance. This role requires a proactive approach to relationship building, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to understanding customer needs. Success will be measured by the ability to deliver consistent, profitable growth while representing DMM Energy with professionalism and integrity.
Duties of the Sales Representative will include, but not be limited to the following:
Sales Activities
• Actively seeks new sales growth opportunities with existing and new potential customers through DMM's partnerships and relationships in the industry.
• Develops win-win proposals and pricing for customers, using DMM’s tools and programs to close the opportunity.
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers by being reliable, responsive, and knowledgeable.
• Act as a trusted advisor by understanding each customer’s operations and providing fuel solutions that support their success.
• Actively monitors market conditions and competitive environment and reports findings to management.
• Works to exceed overall customer’s satisfaction in our customer's fueling experience.
• Manage initial customer complaints and escalates to management for support.
• Represents DMM in Industry events such as Trade Shows, Conferences, etc.
Planning and Development
• Provide input to management for annual sales plan.
• Maintain a sales opportunity pipeline and periodically reviews with management.
People Leadership
• Shows initiative for supporting team members and provides back-up to peers during their vacation period.
• Keeps a high level of respect and care for customers and co-workers at all times.
Education and Skills
• Technical Degree or Diploma; preferred or equivalent sales experience.
• 3-5 years sales experience, fuel sales considered an asset
• Highly motivated, results oriented, high energy team player that interfaces well at all levels within the organization demonstrated through well developed interpersonal skills.
• Proven success in prospecting and developing a business strategy.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are a must.
• A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Detail-oriented, hardworking and organized.
• Proficiency in video conferencing software i.e. Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
